In digital audio campaigns—including podcasts, radio, and voice ads—performance-driven KPIs enable marketers to track engagement and effectiveness.

Performance Metrics

·

Completion Rate: The percentage of listeners who fully hear the ad. We used a simple metric to increase completion rates: comedy. Comedy is tricky and requires exceptional talent, but it delivers completion rates like no other technique.

·

Engagement Rate: Interaction with embedded CTAs (e.g., "Tap to Learn More"). We often begin our ads with a musical hook to capture the listener’s attention. Hooks have been shown to enhance engagement rates significantly. Furthermore, adding singing to your CTA results in impressive follow-through.

·

Conversion Rate: Leads or sales generated directly from audio exposure. Examples include podcast episodes featuring a clear call-to-action (CTA), audio ads providing limited-time discount codes, educational audiobooks linking to purchase options, voice assistant interactions prompting users to buy, and branded music playlists encouraging listeners to take specific actions.

·

Listener Retention Rate: The percentage of the audience that remains engaged throughout a branded audio experience. Repetition is key to retention, and audio content shines through repetition when executed properly.
